Ballet

As the foundation of all other dance styles, ballet is vital to a dancer’s training. Learning ballet gives dancers strength, elegance and flexibility. Trained for BBO exams from Pre-Primary to Advanced, pointe work is introduced when appropriate.

Tap

Tap dancing teaches students an understanding of the connection between dance, rhythm and music. Footwork is often intricate and requires dexterity, concentration and skill. The work required to achieve the highest marks in the BBO examinations is covered.

Modern and Jazz

This discipline combines elements of jazz with modern dance and includes the development of style and self-confidence. Pupils in these classes are encouraged to develop their own choreography thereby educating them in a very important aspect of dance.

Do you want to perform?

We can give you the opportunities. Three Spires Dance School enters regular dance competitions and festivals and creates its own whole school show where everyone gets involved. Performing for an audience gives students the chance to put their technical work into practice. Not only that but it offers the opportunity to learn how to work as a team and build self-confidence.

How do we teach?

From an early age, the emphasis is placed on overall dance training and students are encouraged to enjoy learning all aspects of their chosen style. As their skills improve we develop the technical foundations, posture, coordination and musical appreciation. The best dancers are those that are confident and competent and we know how to bring out these qualities in our students.
