Our teachers

Elaine Ferry (BEM), Principal

At the heart of our school is Miss Elaine, who founded the school in 1985 with just one student. Dedicated to her pupils and the artistry of dance, the school has continued to grow under her care and she is now teaching her third generation of dance students from some of her first ever pupils.

She is a member and registered teacher of the British Ballet Organisation and the International Dance Teacher’s Association, and has been teaching all disciplines of dance for over 35 years. She was also an examiner for the BBO.

Her stage career started aged 10, and by 18 she had progressed to a full-time career as a professional dancer, performing across the UK and Europe.

In 2015 Miss Elaine was awarded the British Empire Medal for Services to Dance.

Charlotte

Miss Charlotte trained at Three Spires from a young age and then went on to train professionally at Performers College in Essex.

Since graduating, Charlotte has been lucky enough to travel the world performing, working closely with Princess Cruises and visiting LA, Australia, Alaska, Asia and one of her favourite places, New Zealand.

As well as cruises, Charlotte and toured the UK in pantomime through the years. Charlotte has continued to teach for Three Spires and has achieved her Level 5 Teaching Qualification with the BBO.

Catherine

Miss Catherine began dancing with Miss Elaine at three years old and has gone on to complete her Advanced 1 ballet examination, a great achievement for non professional dancers.

In 2015 she became a fully qualified and registered teacher with the BBO and focuses primarily on teaching the younger students of the school on a Saturday.

Catherine also works full time as a scenic artist making stage sets for West End theatres, shows and international concerts after graduating from university with a first class degree in Design for Theatre, Performance and Events.

Courtney

Miss Courtney trained at the school going right from baby ballet to the highest grades of the school in ballet, tap and modern, while also winning numerous sections in competitions.

She trained professionally at the London Studio Centre and graduated in 2017 with a first class honours degree in Theatre Dance.

She has performing in the UK theatre tour of 80s Mania and has developed a passion for aerial and has performed in front of HRH King Charles.

She has studied for and completed her Level 5 Teaching Diploma with the BBO.

Tracy

Miss Tracy has been a student at Three Spires since she was young and is a trained teacher of ballet, tap, modern and acrobatics.

She is a qualified teaching associate with the BBO and has been teaching for the school for over 15 years. Tracy also loves to teach many other dance styles including lyrical, musical theatre, commercial, character and hip hop for competitions and the stage.

Tracy has a National Diploma in Performing Arts and has also worked as a local choreographer and performer. One of her proudest moments was performing in Imagineer Productions’ Godiva Awakes a cultural project for the London 2012 Olympics and at the Opening Ceremony for the Commonwealth Games.
